Fried Cassava - Mandioca Frita

Ingredientes:
450 grs (1 lb) mandioca
agua 
sal
aceite vegetal para freir

Paso a Paso:
1. Pelar la mandioca y cortar en trozos de 12mm (1/2 pulgada).





2. Colocar en una sartén grande con mucha agua, dejar hervir y cocinar por 20-30 minutos o hasta que esté tierna.



3. Precalentar aceite a 180ºC (350ºF).
4. Escurrir bien la mandioca cocida y secar en papel de cocina.



5. Freir en tandas durante 2-3 minutos hasta que esté dorada.
6. Escurrir en papel de cocina y espolvorear con un poco de sal.



7. Servir inmediatamente y disfrutar!



English Version
Ingredients:
1 lb (450 grs) cassava
water
salt
vegetable Oil for deep-frying
Method:
1. Peel the cassava and cut into 12mm (1/2 inches) wedges. 



2. Place the cassava in a large saucepan with plenty of water, bring to the boil and cook for 20-30 minutes or until tender.



3. Preheat the oil to 180ºC (350ºF).
4. Drain the cooked cassava well and dry on kitchen paper.
5. Deep fry in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.



6. Drain on kitchen paper and sprinkle with a little salt. 



7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
